"Woah there," Sebastian whispered as he ceased his forward momentum and outstretched an arm to get Gwen to halt as well. A few feet from them was a flame piglet, peacefully grazing at a patch of grass. The red-haired performer lowered to the ground, belly flat as if he were a soldier hiding in a brush, and he brought his hand to his face in a way that pressed his nose to one direction. He then began to emit strange guttural grunts that seemed to attract the tepig rather than scare it.

The hot hog skipped to the human, whose grunts got quieter as it drew closer. Gwen tilted her head, very confused by the strange interaction. Soon, the tepig stopped to return grunts. Interestingly enough, its demeanor had grown very aggressive. Gwen readied herself to strike, but Sebastian had raised a hand to stop her. Instead, he goaded the tepig with some more sporadic grunts. It responded with a furious glow, its tiny body rushing forward for a wild head smash. Unfortunately, Sebastian had abruptly rolled out of the way, causing the sultry swine to go head first into a tree with all of its might. The well established tree refused to yield to the tepig's might, but the force of the blow certainly rattled its canopy.

Sebastian wasted no time, withdrawing one of the balls that were provided by the facility and flicking it as the tepig while it was dazed from the recoil. He then looked to Gwen with a smirk.

"Male pig pokemon respond very aggressively to the grunts of other pig pokemon, especially when they are grazing. I actually learned that from Tiny!"

The empoleon's head remained tilted, having gained no clarity from its trainer's explanation.

The jester picked up the pokeball that the tepig now called home. He would decide on a moniker for the scorching swine at a later time as new talent presented itself among the fields of the safari. This time it was the spitfire pokemon, magmar, in all of its hot glory. Sebastian began to stroke his chin, pondering the potential of the fire type.

"Ooh, another spicy one," Sebastian mused to himself as he prepared another of the safari balls.

"Set the stage, Gwen!"

The empoleon grunted, happy to finally participate in the activities. It set up a whirlpool to surround the magmar in a spiraling pillar of water, and Sebastian cast his safari ball with a fierce curveball. Once the ball had broken through the water to strike the dazed pokemon, Sebastian eagerly awaited its compliance.

"Am I bad at this?" Sebastian questioned as he readied the final safari ball. He had come to realize that he let himself get enraptured by any pokemon that caught his gaze, and his current prospect was no exception. It hugged a tree with unseen appendage, its back only revealing the wavy extrusions that jutted from its mane to give it the silhouette of a solar deity. This one looked as fierce as the sun and as delicate as a flower all at the same time, and Sebastian already began fantasizing about how he could express the same duality to an audience.

The pokemon was as still as a corpse, giving Sebastian the impression that it fell asleep while sun bathing. He inched closer and closer to it like a predator upon its prey until he confirmed its unconsciousness. Instead of having Gwen commit violence against the small creature. he would gently press his hand into the bug's mane and give it a good scratching. It responded in what must have been delight as it gave off some low pitch hum while wriggling. It eventually broke from its position to jump onto Sebastian's arm. He remained completely still while the bug raced up his limb to seat itself around his shoulders, affectionately brushing its head against his.

"Well, aren't you a little cutie? "

He took the last safari ball into his hand and gently pressed it against the larvesta's forehead, allowing the ball to delicately consume it within its rays.
